Stump & Root Removal

The process of removing a tree stump varies, depending on the kind and size of stump you’re dealing with. For small trees with shallow roots, we may use hand-digging, a method that uses a shovel, grub hoe, and root saw.

Stump grinding is another way to get rid of stumps and roots. The stump grinder does exactly what the name implies: it uses a rotating disk to grind up the stump and roots into small chips, reaching about 6 to 12 inches below ground level.

While some customers will require the entire root ball and tree roots to be ground out, most will want us to just cut the tree stump low enough to cover with sod or topsoil so grass can fill it in.

Emergency Tree Service, Including Storm Damage Clean-up

The Mid-South is known for unpredictable weather, especially during our two severe weather seasons. Storms can cause large limbs to fall on your home and ice has been known to take down whole trees.

Our emergency tree service often combines tree removal and tree pruning. We offer dynamic cabling to support weakened trees, as well.

Tree Trimming

To help maintain the safety and integrity of your trees, Red’s Tree Service provides tree trimming and selective pruning, including: removing dead limbs and limbs that obstruct driveways, streets, roofs, etc., eliminating diseased or infested limbs, thinning or removing branches, and enhancing the shape of the tree.

Tree Removal

Tree removal is generally viewed as a last resort, but there are circumstances when it’s necessary. We’ll normally recommend removal when a tree is dead, dying, or hazardous, or if it’s causing an obstruction that can’t be corrected by pruning.

Sometimes a tree may be removed to allow a more suitable specimen to be planted in its place, or to allow for construction to take place. As experienced arborists, we can help you decide whether or not a tree should be removed. We also have the professional skills and equipment to safely and efficiently remove trees from your property if needed.

Deep Root Fertilization

This is a process that involves us injecting a high quality nutrient solution into the root zone of a tree in order to add vital nutrients back into the soil, promoting vigor and strengthening trees that may be under stress.

This method of fertilization helps to aerate the soil, provide the proper levels of oxygen and nutrients, encourage root growth, and make your trees more resistant to disease and insect infestation overall.

Tree Risk Assessment & Preventive Care

A tree health and risk assessment by Red’s Tree Service can help you spot any weaknesses before they become major problems, saving you time and money. Understanding and addressing the risks associated with your trees is important, but keep in mind that evaluating the seriousness of each of these defects is a job best left to professional arborists like us.

Regular tree inspections that are combined with preventive care such as trimming, pruning, and fertilizing will result in trees and shrubs that look great and have the best chance for a long, healthy life.
